Client: Punch Gym

Website: http://www.punchgym.caNew Window

Date of Engagement: May 2009

Synopsis/Background:

The Client is a small specialty workout gym. They specialize in Kettle bell training along with other forms of non-traditional workouts. The Client wanted to create specific classes, "boot-camps" he could market and fill along with traditional classes and drop-ins. A majority of his clients are women between the ages of 25 to 50; however he would like to expand the gender and age of his client base and progress with greater numbers. The Client's web presence was minimal, limited only to a sub-page on another site that promoted the same types of gyms in the U.S., The owner needed a website dedicated to his own business where he could market and promote the specific kettle bell workout system in his area.

Problem:

Punch Gym is not a recognized brand name, so we needed to market his brand locally, create e-commerce to give a foundation for selling merchandise online and build a solid website for sustainable future growth so the site needed to attract attention, educate the consumer on the benefits of the client's specific services, give visitors the ability to sign up for classes and be engaging and interactive.

Solution:

We developed a brand identity for our client with a logo design and a certain writing format/style. "Placeholder" page was created to announce the upcoming website, which entailed marketing information about the various classes, boot-camps and a "fitness assessment" for potential clients to fill out and provide e-mail feedback and a mailing list. We began to promote the URL online while the placeholder was in place while we continued to develop the real website in parallel. We created the new website to be flexible and expandable with plenty of quality multi-media content before the launch of the site. We increased local traffic to the site through extensive SEO and Social Network Marketing techniques.

Outcome:

The website has been running for several months with a design that is punchy, clean and to-the-point. The site has been optimized for SEO and other marketing efforts and traffic is steady and growing.

Client Reaction:

The proprietor, Rob, has been very pleased with the results to date. Since the beginning of the project he has more than doubled the size of his client base and has expanded his demographic. The site reflects his style and goals and has been successful in virtually all areas that we targeted. In the future, the site is positioned to take full advantage of merchandising sales, expanded content features and even potential affiliates or branch locations.

Next Steps:

In the coming months our goal is to aggressively market the site through our online techniques, drive up greater traffic and begin online sales. Content development and interactive tool implementation will continue an as an effort to increase revenue to the client.

Conclusion:

Quality and a successful website can take time, however during the development cycle clients can take advantage of having web presence with an effective place holder. Our marketing efforts will flow nicely into the final website once construction is completed. Having a modern successful website with quality content are designed to support one goal – More sales and higher revenue for each of our clients.
